Janine sharp began her career as a professional performer in 1980 with Pentabus Theatre touring the 5 counties of The West Midlands. BBC TV brought her back to London when she joined Brian Cant and The Playaway” team. As both an actress and trained Drama teacher her work in Theatre and Education took her close to children and the community in and out of London. She is now a freelance Director and Playwright specializing in devised new work and adaptations of children’s books for Theatre, including “The Borrowers” and “Stig of the Dump” for The Courtyard Theatre Hereford. Her new adaptation of “ The Borrowers” is being performed at Midland Arts Centre (MAC) Birmingham until January 2008.
